Diving and snorkeling in Kerama
Welcome to MARINE PRODUCT – a diving shop in Okinawa Japan. We are PADI 5 star ID Dive Resort. We offer snorkeling and diving experiences in crystal clear Kerama sea famous for its degree of transparency up to 40 meters.
Underwater photo shooting
Our shop owner is a professional underwater photographer! All participants will be offered free rental cameras OLYMPUS TG-5! In addition, a complimentary 8GB SD card.
Suitable for beginners & divers with a long gap in diving practice
On the tour day we will choose the calmest point to dive. We dive in one point in a day and do not move from there. On the same point we can change our course and guide you through photography diving. You will have enough time to wear diving gear and get prepared.
As we will not conduct drift diving, beginners and divers with a long gap in diving practice can feel at ease and enjoy underwater photo shooting.
Luxurious getaway
For lunch we serve hot Okinawan soba-noodles & mixed rice. Enjoy all-you-can-eat soba-noodles! (If you have any food allergy, please bring your own lunch) A toilet, showers and a changing room area available onboard.
ABOUT KERAMA
The Kerama is about 40 km west from Naha city, about 1 hour by boat. This area is designated as a national park and consists of about 20 large and small islands. The Kerama sea is very beautiful and here you can enjoy diving throughout the seasons. Degree of transparency is around 25 – 30 meters. On sunny days it can be up to 40 meters!
The Kerama sea is often called as Kerama Blue and considered to be one of the best diving spots in the world. Also the Kerama sea is considered to be one of the best in the world for its rich sea life. There are many beautiful corals, about 250 species. This area is also known as nesting habitats of sea turtles and we can see them all year round. Also we can meet various kinds of anemone fish.

In this tour we offer 3 diving opportunities for beginners as well as divers with a long gap in diving practice & photographer divers.

As we reach the calm point you can dive and start photo shooting. To ensure your safety and enjoyment our instructors will check your diving skills and give you a thorough guidance before diving. Q）What items do we need to prepare?
A）Please prepare C-card & log book(only FUN DIVING), swimsuits, towels, a change of clothes and seasick medicine.
Q）Do I have to wear swimwear?
A）Please bring swimwear. We will wear our swimwear under the diving suit.
Q）Can I bring food or drinks?
A）Yes, you can bring food and drinks. Please take your trash back with you. No alcohol and rapidly perishable food allowed on board.
Q）Are there any lockers? Is there some where I can leave my valuables?
A）No. Please leave large bags at the hotel and join with the minimum necessary baggage. Please keep an eye on your personal belongings and valuables on board. Please do not bring any valuables or breakable items if exposed to water. We shall not be liable for your belongings.
Q）Do you sell SEASICK medicine?
A）NO, all guest have to prepare own motion sickness medication.
【Diving and snorkel】
Q）What is the different of Introductory diving and Fun diving?
A）Introductory diving is for non certified diver, diving with instructor at max 5m for 20 mins.
Q）Can I join Snorkeling/Introductory diving if I can’t swim?
A）Yes, we have professional instructor take care of you, and life jacket is available. You only need to breathe and enjoy.
Q）Is it a problem if this is my first diving or snorkeling?
A）No, it is not a problem. We offer beginner courses and will observe each participant carefully.
You will have nothing to worry about.
Q）Do I absolutely have to wear a life jacket? Can I still go snorkeling without wearing a life jacket?
A）For safety reasons, we require all participants to wear life jackets.(we also prepare the life jacket for children.)
Q）Can we land on the island?
A）No, it is prohibited by NAHA Marine Leisure Safety.
Q）Can I rent the equipment without joining a tour?
A）We do not provide equipment rentals. Please join one of our tours.
Q）Can I rent only fins?
A）Renting only one part, such as fins, is possible, but the fee will same when you rent all equipment.
Q）Can I bring my own camera?
A）You can bring your own camera under your control. However, even if the camera is lost, stolen or damaged, we can not guarantee it at all. Also, please note that the price does not change.
Q）Can I wear contact lenses in the water due to poor vision?
A）You can use disposable soft contact lenses. Water may get into your eyes and cause you to lose contact lenses. So don’t use hard contact lenses. You should also bring a spare soft contact lens.
Q）Are there age restrictions?
A）Age restrictions are as follows:
Intro/Fun diving 12-60 years old
Snorkeling 10-60 years old
Participants under 20 must have a written consent of a parent.
Q）Can I participate in the tour if YES applies to the medical questionnaire of the document?
A）Sorry, you can not apply for our plan.
Q）Can menstruating women participate in diving activities?
A）During menstruation, if you use tampons or other sanitary products, you will be able to dive.
Q）Can pregnant women or infants participate?
A）Diving during pregnancy may affect the baby, so pregnant women should avoid scuba diving or snorkeling.
Q）Can I dive on the day of flying?
A）After diving, the diver should not fly on the same day. Please leave at least 12 hours for one dive, or 18 hours or more for multiple dives. The nitrogen buildup in the body due to the difference in pressure during diving will form air bubbles in the body, which will lead to various types of symptoms and is extremely dangerous. Please rest fully on land after diving to allow the accumulated nitrogen to be naturally released from the body.
Q）Can I snorkel or dive in winter?
A）Okinawa is perfect for ocean activities during any season. Furthermore, we are equipped with winter diving suits and will provide hot drink to warm the divers. Everything will be taken care of.
Q）What is the water temperature?
A）Average Nov – Apr 20℃ -25℃ & May – Oct 25℃ – 30℃
Q）If rain is forecast, will this affect diving or snorkeling?
A）The rain will not affect the tour. Since participants will be wet anyway, the rain will not be a problem. Tours may end abruptly due to wind and wave conditions but will not end due to the rain. If wind conditions allow, divers will be able to enjoy the tours safely.Participants will be able to see the beautiful blue light even when it rains. If the customer cancels because of the rain, we collect a cancellation fee.

A）Yes, only hotel in Naha city area, for private apartment we will assign the nearest hotel.

Q）When will I be able to know the pick up time?
A）Pick up service time will send by email a day before around 17:00. Usual pick up service are around 07:20 – 08:00.
Q）If I come from northern side of island, when should I depart? (Traffic matter)
A）Heavy traffic expected from 07:00 – 08:30, estimate extra 60 minutes required.
Q）Where is Naha Miegusuku Port located? How long does it take to get there from Kokusai-dori (Onna)? Is there a parking lot at the port? Is there a landmark at the waiting place?
A）It takes about 40 minutes to get there from Kokusai-dori. If you go on the highway from Onna, it takes about two hours to get there. From Naminoue Golf, go to the corner and trun toward the Naha Beach Side Hotel. Keep going until you reach the end of the street. You will see the entrance next to the yellow machine, please take the parking ticket from the machine, go right and wait 07:45 in the waiting place.The parking fee is ￥500 one day.

Q）Are there any other costs aside from the diving and snorkeling fees?
A）The travel cost and rental fees for diving/ snorkeling equipment are already included in the stated fees.
Q）Can I pay by debit / credit card?
A）You can use VISA, MASTER.
【Cancellation】
Q）Will the trip be cancelled when it typhoon?
A）Trip cancellation do happen if the sea condition is dangerous. We will contact you by email for reschedule or refund procedure.
Q）When will the notice be given if tours are suspended?
A）Suspension notices will be issued at least one day before the scheduled time of the tours. Please understand that wind and sea conditions change momentarily, so it is very difficult to make timely judgments beforehand. We will contact you immediately if tours are cancelled for certain.
Q）Is there a cancellation fee?
A）The cancellation fee will be required in accordance with the policy below.
